This morning we ventured down to Minnehaha Falls, which is absolutely beautiful during the Winter, the Falls freeze over and create stunning colors and make for a lovely walk so long as you are bundled up. I've found getting a new camera in late Fall makes me long for the Summer months even more... longer days, better light and most of all no coat! I've also found snow can be very hard to capture through photography the way you see it. The camera always turning it a bit too gray and darker than reality. I messed with my white balance quite a bit and still could not get the pictures the way I wanted. Hello Photoshop! I haven't had much time to dabble in Photoshop until today. But it is amazing, although feels a bit like cheating... or is it true technological artistry? Whatever the case it makes me wonder how many of those photographs I drool over on a daily basis have been touched by Photoshop?
